Sharing Horse Stories

We are so lucky to partner with Animal Response Foundation to help improve life for rescue animals, and especially horses. Some horses stop off at the farm in a transition to training, for healing and recovery, or to get ready for a new home. It is so cool to be part of these amazing horses’ lives.

Two horses who have shared our pasture recently are Tinsel and Jesse. Both are really beautiful Thoroughbred mares, and they have been such a delight to work with. Tinsel is doing great with ground work and has become really confident since being at the farm.

Our teen volunteers have worked to help her gain confidence in the pasture with all kinds of people and animals. The chickens think that they are the reason she is less “flighty” now, but the ducks want their credit too. She has become more certain around heavy machinery too. Thanks to all the volunteers who have worked with her in ground work, roundpen training, and daily care! Tinsel is now ready for an adoptive home.
